Acorn Sentry pairs innovative live-capture functionality with distinctive acorn-inspired styling. Its sculpted cap, golden-yellow finish and solid construction make it both practical and attractive.
Designed for live capture of Asian hornets, its transparent chamber lets you check the contents without opening the trap.
Thoughtful entrances and bee escapes
Side-entry cones with 7 mm entrances guide insects into the capture chamber. The lid has five 5.5 mm bee escape openings, intended to provide honeybees and other smaller insects with a route out. A removable acorn cover shelters these openings.
Separate, breathable bait chamber
The screw-on bait chamber uses a perforated barrier to release bait scent while keeping captured insects separate from the bait. This supports live capture and makes bait replacement simple.
Easy to set up, clean and reuse
Add your chosen bait, screw the chamber into place and position the trap. The removable, screw-off lid provides easy access for inspection and cleaning, while the clear body enables quick visual checks.
Hang it or stand it
Suspend Acorn Sentry using the hanging cord, or stand it on its broad, solid base on a level surface. Choose the setup that best suits your monitoring location.
Sealing bungs for transport
Sealing bungs close the openings to help contain captured insects during transport. Before moving an occupied trap, check that every opening is securely sealed.
